Custom Designed Patch
FOR CURVED HATS WE HIGHLY RECCOMEND A HAT PRESS!
-Temperature: The ideal temperature depends on the press, but you can start at 270–285°F and increase if needed. Some recommend 360°F for caps. If you're using a lower heat, you might need to press for longer.
-ACYRLIC BEANIES & OTHER FLAT HATS- NO HAT PRESS NEEDED use lower temps and pressure to keep from scorching. Put cardboard under the fold to help keep formation.
-Pressure: Use medium pressure.
-Time: Press for 10–15 seconds, or 15–20 seconds for caps.
-Preparation: Clean the application area with rubbing alcohol, and remove any filler or sweatband from the hat. You can also smooth out the front of the cap to help it form to the platen.
-Platen: Preheat the lower platen for 60 seconds. You can cover it with a FlexStyle Silicone Pad or 1/8" Foam Pad.
-Placement: Put the patch in place and cover it with a thin cotton cloth to protect it while still allowing heat to reach it.
-For extra strength: You can add E6000 or super glue to the back of the patch, or use rivets or stitching along the edges.
